Louisa Presbyterian Church

Our Worship

“Worship the Lord your God, and serve only him.” Matthew 4:10 NRSV

We invite you to join us for worship each Sunday at 10:00 a.m. We also observe special services of worship for Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter.

Enter to Worship. Depart to Serve.

There are five elements to our order of service, which are centered on the Word of God. First we gather around the Word. Second, we hear the Word proclaimed. Third, we respond to the Word. Fourth, we bear and follow the Word into the world. On the occasions when we celebrate the sacraments, there is a fifth element, the sealing of the Word. This action follows our response to the Word. Louisa Presbyterian Church observes the Lord’s Supper the first Sunday of each month.   Communion is given in two ways, alternating by every other month.  The cup and bread are distributed to the people, and on alternate months, the people come to the table for communion by intinction.
